International Motocross Villa de Crevillent

Motorsport fans shouldn’t lose “El Còssil”, our International Motocross Race.

Uncountable gradients, caused by the length, the location and the irregular orography, characterise this race.

This event began in 2000, when a group of amateurs decided to create a motocross race, which they named Motosport Carreres.

Nowadays, “El Còssil” is one of the most relevant races of its kind and one of the greatest in Spain.

It takes place in the first months of the year, when the riders begin to prepare their preseason. They take advantage of the Crevillent’s good weather during the hard winter months in Europe.

More than 100 pilots participate annually in this test. The best of the national elite attend. Riders such as Javier García Víco, Jonathan Barragán, Josep Alonso, Alvaro Lozano, Luís López… all of them champions of Spain on several occasions. Also international pilots like Marko Kovalainen and Harri Kullas, world champions with several Finnish and Estonian championships in their possession; Marco Dorch, champion of Germany, Dean Ferris of Australia, Brian Jorgensen of Dimamarca, and a long etc.
